I'm Matt Zeringue. That's like Lemon Meringue Pie. Or those cookies. Zeringue. I'm a bit of a nerd, a little artsy, and generally pleasant-to-be-around guy. Usually. We all have our days. Don't let the photo above convince you otherwise...it's just the way my face is arranged. That's me smiling.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be a baseball player when I grew up. As I grew older, I realized you have to be really, REALLY good to do that. I was not really, REALLY good.
Still, I was always into drawing and painting and making messes. Then I got into computers. REALLY into computers. I was the "computer guy" or "art guy" for yeeeeears, and when I realized you could smoosh those things together, have fun, and get a job doing that, I knew that's what I wanted to do.
I grew up, went to school, and graduated from Texas State University with a BFA in Communication Design. For more than two decades I've been a Graphic Designer, though "Graphic Designer" is really the most basic description of what I do. I like variety, and I like to learn new things, so in addition to graphic design, I've done a lot of photography, videography and video editing. A LOT. I've also done websites, social media graphics, some magazines and annual reports, a bunch of signage, managed social media, done lots of PowerPoint presentations, provided tech support... You name it, I've probably done it.
